Drowning in Denim

Installation

Project Completed in 2021

The fashion industry is the UK’s largest creative industry, employing 300 million workers globally. The world of fashion is having major impacts on the environment and makes up 10% of humanity’s carbon emissions. By reusing old, discarded denim and giving it a second life, I have created an installation aimed at making the viewer aware of the environmental costs of the common, everyday fabric everyone has in their wardrobe, denim.
